History-

The Ravalgaon Sugar Farm journey began before independence. Seth. Hirachand Walchand is an ambitious industrialist. In 1923, he came to Ravalgaon with extraordinary vision. He decided to develop his own industry using modern technologies, but he realized that agriculture is the largest industry in our country at that time. 

Seth Hirachand bought 1500 acres of barren land and cleared the cactus trees, rocks, stones to make them useful for agriculture purposes. He planted the sugarcane in which land was capable of farming then he established the first sugar mills. Around the mills developed the township and they provided healthcare facilities, education, and employment to remote or rural communities.

In 1933, Ravalgaon Sugar Farm limited became the incorporated industry. They started diversifying their portfolio adding other development projects. The Ravalgaon sugar farm has some amount of output used to develop confectionery under the Ravalgaon Brand. In the 1940s, started manufacturing confectionery products under the Ravalgaon Brand Name. It’s especially based on the Ravalgaon village name. The journey of Ravalgaon chocolate started from there. The Ravalgaon confectionery division makes the hard-boiled sweets and toffees. Seth Walchand also developed the same replica model of Ravalgaon agriculture development at Kalamb, Pune. They developed the township there and gave the name Walchandnagar.
